We just got a Yamaha bigwheel 80 for the kids.It runs great for about 20min.or so,then quits. It will lock the back wheel up in third gear on the road with my big b...(250 lbs.)like I was a little kid    it will start right back up,run about 5min.and quit  I haven't had time to mess with it yet,so I thought I'd ask around here if anyone knows about these little bikes(were to get man.and such)

chain drive? could the chain be loose enuf to rap around the front sprocket? a hard stop like that don't sound healthy for it.

Re: 80cc big wheel

Seems to me to be fuel issues. Sparks doubtful, but maybe. When it dies, pull plug right now and check. I will bet on fuel issues.

Ebay will have a book for you.

Another concern is carbon fouled spark plug. A small chunk of crap will bridge the plug and kill sparks.

Anyhoo, keep us posted, these iboats folks are real handy!!!

Re: 80cc big wheel

it is chain drive, but no not loose, first thing I thought was it was it was out of fuel but it wasn't.fuel drips out of overflow tube a little.I,m not sure on it being a fuel prob.just on the way it locks up.the thing seems to run pretty hot too.I'm wondering about the two cycle injection, since it was full when I put gas in and it don't smoke much.don't know,I need to get a manuel. thanks for the replies.

If you have fuel dripping out of the over flow on the carb then it is flooding the cylinder and causing a hydro lock.

I thought flooding was possible too,but it acts more like it stops fireing.
