I was running my outboard on the trailer for about 10 mins then it just stopped. It quite like it ran out of fuel. It will restart but quickly dies after about 3 secs. The fuel bulb always stayed hard, fuel in both tanks, had a good about of fuel in all 6 carb bowls, fuel pump diaphragms in good shape. Pls give me ideas of what else I can check....

Still have spark after she dies? I have seen many fuel pump diaphragms that were bad but looked fine. Fuel lines leaking air because they are not properly clamped. Float level on the carbs set proper?

My next step is to rebuild the fuel pump. Should I rebuild it or get a complete new one?

I've always used the kits. you can look them up by serial number on crowleymarine or marineengine.com just make sure the one you get as complete as possible as these have extra check valves that might not be included with the cheapest possible diaphragm kit.
