81 260 5.7 mercruiser dipstick

Any one know off hand the length of a 81 year modle 260 mercruiser 5.7?
i put 6 quarts in, one in the filter and 5 in the pan and it does not register on dipstick.
not sure if it is the original or not.

dipstick goes through tbe block not the pan.

Manual #3 shows several different ones, and it depends on serial and if its MCM or MIE.
For MCM can be 26 inch, 23 5/8, 21 5/8, and there are also different tubes
