1981 40hp mercury, elec. start, remote control, type IV tbolt ignition, s/n 5899567.
The stator, trigger and kill switch circuit are all working fine. I replaced the plugs, wires and coils for good measure and I have checked all the wires for cuts and nicks and they look good. Problem is I am getting no voltage to the coils. Since everything else checks out alright does this mean I have a bad switch box? If so what could have caused the switch box to go bad? This one was replace maybe 4 years ago but it doesn't have over 20 hrs. on it.
