I have a new (to me) 1981 35 HP evinrude. Ran last season - won't start now. I am only getting spark on one plug, so I replaced the coils after checking them with an ohm meter (both were well below spec'd resistance). I still only get spark on one plug. I checked the resistance across the sensor coil and it checks out OK. Is there a way to check the power pack with just a multimeter? Both coils can produce spark - I checked that by swapping them. Wires from power pack to the coils seem OK. I am thinking of just buying a new power pack, but not sure if this is just throwing good $ after bad...
