I have a 1980 or 81 Mercury 50 HP SN#5799294 on a 1981 Bass Tracker III with the trim switch on the consol (not integral with the motor wiring harness). I am looking to get a newer model control box / harness assembly for it but need to know if it will plug up to my existing motor harness since the new ones are for motors with integrated trim. Does anyone know if there are extra pins or anything on the newer harnesses that will prevent plugging into the existing motor harness that I have? <br /><br />Thanks in advance for any light you might be able to shed.......Deek
