82 470 merc carbs.

I need to rebuild my carbs on my twin 470's. Looking at them I found 1 carb is a Merc and the other is a GM. Why would they be different? Do they use the same kit?

someone may have switched out one at some point they should be the same<br /><br />i would try to sure that the GM carb is a marine carb and not and auto unit<br /><br />tommays

Well I found out one is automotive. I have a replacement coming. Thanks for the heads up.<br />Jim
