'82 60hp Evinrude shift rod height?

As the title suggests does anyone know what the shift rod height should be for this particular model #E60TLCN 2cyl.....preferably taken from the official factory manual please (i have one on order:facepalm.....the crappy clymers i have says it should be 21- 23/32 in neutral which by my reckoning is way off the mark.....the top secret file makes no reference to my particular model in regard to this spec.....

21.72" from top of lower unit housing to center of hole thats for a 20inch shaft other sizes add or minus for shaft lenth

21.72?......That sounds pretty close to the figure Mr Clymer reckons which cannot be correct for my gearcase.....its going to be in 20" range but the question is how many 32nds.....thanks for taking the time to try and help me out though mate i might just have to wait until that manual gets here after all. i just measured a old 70 hp and it doesnt seem far off at 21.72. i realy hate to ask but the shaft is in the netural position?

100% certain its in neutral.....im starting to think there may be something a bit odd about this particular motor in regard to this spec.....same hp previous year ('81) height was 20' 29/32 (clymers) which would be right for my '82.....i guess its possible my motor is fitted with some '81 components from factory but labelled an '82.....wont know for sure until i get my mits on that OEM manual. Finally got that manual and its just as i suspected.....the correct height in neutral is......20-29/32" + or - 1/32.....according to my newly aquired manual this height applies to '81 '82 '83 60hp longshaft models.
