82 70 hp johnson mid range

I have a 70 johnson newly rebuilt engine newly rebuilt carbs new power pack I have good idle good wot but boggs at midrange. Carbs are good synco. good spark on one cyl maybe a little weak. Timer base is not sticking. Help me if you can.

Do you have an inductive type timing light? If not, borrow or rent one.

Place the inductive lead on each cylinder until you find the one that is dropping out.
