I pulled a good one yesterday. Got motor stuck in sand and finally got it out. After about 5 minutes of run time, alarm sounded off. Is there a help file or maybe can offer suggestion as to how to backflush the intake or whatever to make sure there is no sand blocking the system.? Thanks in advance.

If you sucked up sand, it's possible the bleed holes in the thermostat plate got blocked. This can cause the cooling system to air lock. Three bolts hold the thermostat assembly in place, plus the two hoses from the cylinder heads. I suppose you could reverse flush the system by pushing water through the hose connection on the bottom of the heads.

Also, after the abrasion of sand, your impeller may be suspect. Pull the leg and inspect to be safe.
