Can I replace the WM12 carbs out with a set or WM15? I'm having troubles with the old ones and found a set of WM15's but dont want to buy them if they wont fit. Thanks a million

Normally carbs are easily rebuildable. What kind of issues are you having?

As to whether the WM-15s will work, I am not sure if anyone outside the Merc design team knows how well those would work on your motor.

My problem is that it runs fine at low speed but if I go to WOT it feels like it is drowning. I can pull it back and keep it running but after a while at low speed you can feel it start to run right again. I thought maybe going with a newer set of carbs would get me away from Amy ethonal related problems. Also finding the full rebuild kits is getting tougher. At least from what I'm seeing.

You know the typical problems when your desires and your budget don't see eye to eye lol

Well, just maybe they are set too lean on the idle mixture.----Try opening up 1/2 turn.-------Never have had to replace an outboard carburetor.-----They can be repaired / adjusted in all cases.

Until someone starts "enhancing/improving" the carb
