Hello all:
I just go this Fishing boat about 2 weeks ago. Before we put it in the water we test ran it with the ears. It had last years gas in it.. (My Dad screwed with the top adjustment!) He tried to screw it all the way out..But to get it started and run we had to set the prime silinoid to manual then half..WE left it there for it to run, but ti ran way too rich and smoked like a train.. We put it in the water and I ran it a few times . I looked it up on line and found out that it was suppose to be set the other way to run. So I tried to set it back. I could only get it set back part of the way for it to still run.. I also knoticed it was using a lot of gas!! SO tonight I tried to keep it running and turn the silinoid to auto and adjust the carb to run.. I have been unhooking the fuel line because if I leave it connected the motor will flood out!!! I am hopeing by setting the silinoid to auto this will quit happening.. I think I am going to get a set of new plugs and try to get it fine tuned.. Any helpful hints or advice..???P.S. I have all new gas mixed at 50:1.. 13 oz oil to 5 gal gas..
Thanks :

read this :http://forums.iboats.com/showthread.php?t=158086

have to keep the primer open means it's not getting enough gas, buy carb rebuild kits, completely disasemble the carbs, all jets, there are some hidden under plugs that have to be pulled and later replaced (in kit), you need a special tool to remove the jets. any way total clean, and blow out with compressed air. ressemble with the rebuild kit. the tool can be made from a quality screw driver.
