83 Carver 2807 Riviera - Forward bilge taking on water

We recently purchased an 83 2807 Riviera. It is taking on 4-8 gallons of water every two weeks in the forward bilge (compartment under table in the v-berth.) The holding tank is empty. Anyone have any idea where the water could be coming from? Thanks.

I have an 87 Carver Montego. When docked the forward bilge is lower than the stern. It could be coming from stern and running forward. Hope this helps.
