I have an Evinrude 115 hp and according to the model number (E115TLCTE) it is an 83. However, the choke solenoid has gone bad and it doesn't match up with what the diagrams call for. Looks to be an older style choke solenoid that connects to the butterfly. I am trying to attach a photo of the solenoid that came off. I need help locating the part number and finding the part.

it sure looks like someone in the past has changed your carbs, and choke........... you should not have Choke butterflies in your carb, but should have Primer injectors tips.

Yes they have. I just don't know where to look now for the choke solenoid part. Not sure what year.

Your pictured solenoid looks similar, but not identical to the solenoid on my 79 85 hp engine. Looks like they used the same type on both the 78 and 79's. You can check out the parts diagrams on the web at: epc.brp.com. It may work in place of the one in your picture.
