83 Evinrude bogs and stops at idle and full throt

I have a 1983 50 hp Evinrude that seems to be getting too much gas and bogsdown/stops running. When i start the motor after this happens there is gas/oil in the water. The motor ran fine 1st day out but started having this problem after that. Thanks for any help Chris

Sounds like it's time to rebuild carbs. Probably just a stuck float but while it is off might as well spend 20 bucks and put a kit in them. Make sure that you blow all the jets out with an air compressor.

Varnished old cork floats are sinkers after a while.-------Some of the foams gain weight also.
