83 Glastron Hull Damage

THeres a guy whos giving a boat away, Im not sure its worth it or not

its a 19 1/2 ft Glastron Boat and he says 305 engine runs great but sunk into hull
Out drive prof. rebuilt
Needs new interior. Ext fiberglass all good

Is this worth to fix? What does he mean sunk into hull?

It Might be Worth it.........

I'm just Guessing here,.....
But,.....
I'd assume that the Wood has Rotted Out,+ the Stringers,+ Transom need Replacing..............

Yes the external is fiberglass but there are wood structural components as stringers, floor and the transom where the engine sets that can and do rot on a regular basis. These areas are well hidden with the application of resin and fiberglass mat so it all looks like fiberglass. Check carefully but if the fiberglass hull is good it should be restrorable.
