Hi, im new to iboats and was wondering if i could have some input..the wood under my motor mounts are rotted i was looking into putting alluminum plate in there maybe an L shape that runs on top of the stringer and down the side to beef it up...my question is is it possible to get underneath the floor/transom to put a washer and lock nut on the motor mount instead of a wood lag bolt? i think this would hold up much better on Lake Erie...Thank you!
