Had it working on dry dock. Greased some parts that looked like they were frozen, worked them back and forth, and when i trimmed the drive down, she locked into place. could not lift it by hand. when i went to trim up, the hydraulic shaft came down, hit the lever which unlocks the drive, and up she went. had the boat put in the water, and now it doesnt lock down. when in reverse, the drive walks up and out of water. any suggestions?

The lock down pauls probably need to be replaced. They sell a rebuild kit with all the springs and parts. The Volvo parts are expensive.Just the lock down pauls $80+each.Two different part #s
Look at yours and see if there is any wear on the ends.Should be square and straight.

do you have any tips on working on things when the boat is in the water? or do i have to get down there in the water? cant believe i had this working, and now not. i cant believe what a fight this has been. knew nothing about this boat, and every turn of a wrench, something else broke, or needed to be replaced. so, now i know a lot more then i used to. but, i have to say, i took her out today, and she flies, so there is a sense of accomplishment. But frustraiting!!!! thx.
