I have tried everything except a cut off torch, and it did not bulge. I did prevail, though it took 12 hours, many hand tools, punches, dremel, sawsall, drills, puller, hammer, then bigger hammer, and alot of patience. It is a s.s. prop with only a 24 stamped on the inside. I enclosed some pics for you guys to tell me if I ruined this prop. I was going to re-hub this anyway, but as you can see, it seems to be a one part hub assy.. Can I re-hub this prop with a 2 piece assy. or is it expensive piece of trash. Does the 24 mean pitch? I can't find any other numbers on it. I'm in southern NJ, does any one know someone that works on props? Western marine is just over the bridge for me, if they do it.:)IMP boat 004.jpgIMP boat 002.jpgIMP boat 003.jpgIMP boat 001.jpg

It doesn't look like the prop itself is damaged. So, it should be able to be re-hubbed. A bronze/rubber hub for that prop costs about 35-40 bucks so a prop shop will probably double that for installation.

Ayuh,... That's to bad,....
And to think, nothing but a finger full of Grease would have avoided it....

They must have mounted that prop with Super Glue instead of grease! Maybe just go for a new prop, re-hub old one and keep for a spare? That prop must be original one from 1984, never been off prop shaft? Good idea to remove prop once or twice a year to inspect for fishing line wrapped around shaft, check seals, clean and re-grease prop shaft splines. Good Luck!
