Anyone know the part number and/or availability of the throttle/shift barrel retainer clip on a 1984 Mercury 200 V6?
I was doing some work this afternoon getting the boat ready for a water test tomorrow and needed to adjust the idle. I was attempting to get the barrel retainer clip loose and I guess I gave it a little too much force.
The clip itself is fine as is the main body. Part number 39536 the small hinge piece that connects them together broke, but I don't know if that single piece is available or not.
As my luck would have it the local dealership was closed about the time I broke the part, so I guess I'll have to get up tomorrow morning and forgo the early morning launch time in lieu of repairing the clip.
