I've got the powerhead completely rebuilt.
I've rebuilt the water pump and the lower is in tact.
The mid section is on the boat.
The powerhead is hanging up in the garage and the lower is on the floor.

I can't find any documentation or pictures or parts lists for the assembly.
I've got a plastic water pipe and I'm not sure how to install it.
I'm thinking I need seals, etc.

Where can I find information on installation of the lower & powerhead to the mid section?

If you have both off I think its easier to put the lower on first and then the powerhead.

When you say plastic water pipe are you talking about the alignment stub? Its just to help the pump match up with the copper water tube.

Thanks Wired
Too late, I've got the powerhead back on already.
I looked at it and it looked like I should be able to get the lower on pretty easily.
I may have to turn the flywheel a bit to get the drive shaft to line up.

I just don't want to miss anything or mess anything up.

I got the lower back on and checked the drive shaft.
I can put it in forward or reverse manually from the top of the shift rod.

I'm still not convinced I've got this thing on right.
There's a water?? hose bib that I can't figure out what to do with.
The one in the pic below has a hose attached to it.
I've got a hose but nothing attached to that fitting.

What is it and what do I do with it?
Is there any documentation, diagrams, parts lists or *anything* about attaching the lower to the mid section?

Your pics arent working but its probably the speedo pickup you are wondering about. 9.6 times out of 10 they arent hooked up anyway as they are too high up to be of any use.

There is always the factory service manual but its a pretty simple bolt on deal. Tube in the pump, shift shaft and lower in neutral and make sure the shift rod engages the shift shaft when you ease it on up. Turn the motor over when the crank mates up with the driveshaft and it pops in.

Thanks again.
I finally did figure out that it was just the steering pickup.
I'm not worried about it now.

I've got the lower bolted on, the bolts are just loose.
The shifter works from the top and I checked, it does turn the prop from the flywheel.

I just wanted to be dead sure.
I'll tighten down the bolts tomorrow and press on.
