hey guys. need help fast. takin my boat out tomorrow, well i was. went to check it out warm it up and it statred overheating. first time starting it since i had running fine last summer. water is not making it up the drive to the t-stat, all the hoses there i can run water through them and the all come out with no problems. if i lift the drive up it seems to flow but not with it down. if i hold the ear muffs on there hard it will get water up there. it seems likes theres a check valve not letting water up. please help

do you have power steering? If not I can't think of any reason water won't go through- squirrels some area with nutshells but that should be washed out when backflushing.

I'd probably take one of the water directors off (careful with those bolts - stainless in alum ) and see if the water is getting as far as the trunnions.

no power steering. if i squeeze the earmuffs on tight i can get a little bit of water to come out of the ''pissers'', and it does make it up there. it seems like something is stuck in there but i don't get, when the drive is all the up and i turn the water on. i get a little bit of flow to the tstat. but thats about it

I'm just going to take it out and see if I got something stuck, maybe running around on the lake will get good pressure going up in there
