blew out the front two bearings! luckily it was on the access ramp before I jumped on the interstate, even more luck the ramp led straight to a wal mart parking lot. I got the restoration started on the first 15 min of owning!

Hey nice!! Join the group of a couple guyz that have bass boat restores! I just got one. Yours looks bigger and badder tho! lol! Nice hull shape...looks like the gel coat got some scratches. Is the outboard in good running order?

And if I may ask...how much ya pay for it? ;)

Good luck on your project! I'll keep tabs on ya! Looks like a worthwhile fix to me!

yah the gel on the hull has a few gouges but none through the fiberglass...The motor runs, but I dont know how strong till I can take it out. The first 2 things I noticed was the Skeg is tore in half and someone removed the oil injection from the motor. im deffinenitley going to have to replace some parts. I paid $500 for the boat.

Hey not bad. Based on what I can see, you got a good buy. Yeah my boat has a few gouges in the gel coat too... Cant say much on the outboard yet. Looks good...but looks aint everything. ;) Haven't had time to check it out anymore yet.

OK anyone have input on removing the cap of a Bass Boat!? I removed all the outer screws and went around the seam with the saw like the pictures show but its still stuck solid somewhere at the transom and at the bow!? So who knows?

I wouldn't call that slow progress. You're flying man.

That's going to be an awesome boat when you're done.

Im currently working on removing the old foam. Has anyone found a tool that works best for removing the foam and not damaging the hull?
