85' 120 johnsonpro tracker won't start

Motor turns over but not getting spark, not sure what power packs are? Would this be the problem????

The powerpacks are only a problem if blown.

Check that the emergency stop lanyard is not weakened, therefore grounding the powerpack and keeping you from running.

The kill wire is black and yellow. If it is disconnected, the ignition will work unless the powerpack is bad.

Thank you for your comment, I'm so retared because I took the lanyard off to have the lower unit worked on I did even think about putting it back in until you said something. Thank you for all your help.
