I just got back my motor from my machanic and everything looks and sounds ok with the motor, just doesn't have any power to get the boat on plane. The motor revs up but nothing really happends and there is a delay when reving and when the motor does try and get up and going. This motor was thouroughly looked through, the only thing that he didn't do was the timing on the top end. We were trying to get out to run it and the throttle cable broke. My machanic moved and i'm trying to get an idea what it may be. Would the timing of the top end cause this problem. Also right where the arm for the throttle is on the motor the circular hinge its on squirts out water when at a high rpm. It connects 2 hoses from the water pump just before it spits out the motor, is this a big deal or just a minor leak. Thanks for any help I can get.
