Engine has not been able to operate over 33-3500 rpms since I bought it. Earlier I was lead to believe “high speed stator coils were breaking down at high speeds” So I decided not to mess with it this season. But, the other night I had someone squeezing the primer bulb as I throttled up and I was able to hit 4800 rpms and stay there as long as he kept squeezing the bulb. Replaced external fuel lines and bulb when I bought it, internal ones last night and then bypassed internal fuel filter (temporarilly-should this have an air pocket in it???) Have the Seloc manual on my desk, reading about vaccum test, not very helpful. The line coming out of the top of the pump goes down under it and forward. Not very acessible where it goes to. Is that a fitting it goes to? It seems loose. Is this an air/vaccum line or something? I have 2 fuel tanks and switching doesn’t help so I want to troubleshoot a bit more. Any help/suggustions would be appreciated.
