I have a mid 80s merc 200hp with a faulty overheat sensor. THe sensor loks like it is bolted directly into the heads with headbolts. FOr those familiar with the older mercs, the heads are diamond shaped, and the overheat sensor is a single wire attached with two head bolts.

What should I re-torque these bolts to when i replace the sensor? Thanks in advance!

redneck, the 12.5lbs are for 74deg v6 engines (3.4l 250hp and above), not for 60deg v6 engines (150, 175, 200, 225 hp)

85merc200: i just pulled all the plugs while running a compression test this weekend. The plugs were wet on the center contact of the plug (i have NGK BUHW's in it). They should not be black or white, and the center should not be too worn.
