85 20HP johnson 100/1 or 50/1 ??

i'm a total rookie here and trying to learn..
I just picked up a 85 20HP Johnson, on the top cover it has a oil type loge and sticker that says 100/1 telling me i should mix the oil/gas 100/1.. is this correct? i have heard and read from a couple others that it should be 50/1.

why the confusion? why would they put the sticker (which seems factory) 100/1 on there if its supposed to be 50/1

thanks, i appreciate the responses.. the guy i bought it from said 50/1 and then later when i pointed out the sticker, he said, "oh yeah, 100/1" .. I don't think he had ran it in over a year and just had bad memory or was kind of flakey. i don't know.. I do know I want to be on point! my 1st boat and motor..
