am i reading my manual right says the ratio is 100-1?

Ignore that! Or use Amsoil. <br /><br />Seriously, they tried that for a few years and abandoned the idea. If you get an excellent quality oil, you might get by, but at 100:1 there really isn't any oil left over to protect the motor from rusting up during long periods of non-use.

ya found on another site that was only a couple year thing that didnt work. and to go back to 50=1

You are reading correctly. As mentioned already, OMC abandoned 100:1 because it didn't leave enough film on the surface during prolonged storage in high humidity locations. Wear issues weren't the problem. If you run every few weeks and keep it lubed 100:1 is fine.

Don't agree, Bill.<br /><br />OMC changed their specification to 50:1. Use 50:1
