so, when i am installing the new bellows, do i do it in a 2 step process?

i mean, do i install them on the transom first, wait for the adhesive to dry, tighten them down again (instructions say wait 3 to 4 hours then tighten again). Then attempt to install them on the bellhousing side?

Or

do i try to do both ends at the same time?

hello
you will find its easist to attach the exhaust bellows to the transom then the drive bellows to the gimbal then place the gimbal on the transome and attach the drive bellows then the ex to the gimbal. save the shift cable for last.
use the bellows adhesive or 3-m super weather strip adhesive. I see no need to tighten again in several hours. must be a new merc manual or I missed it.
good luck and keep posting
