85 Force starting problem. Help please!!

I'm bring an 85 HP force engine back to life. My Carbs are good and clean, but I can not get the motor to kick over. My starter was is an orginal (8/1988), but the brushes and springs are a little warn. Should I look at rebuilding the starter or replace the Starter all together?

Replace the starter as it is pretty old. My '85 gave out this year and I replaced it with a new one for about $76. I got it from a vendor on ebay called 14rebuilders. He has a good reputation.
