85 hp chry. no power

I just got an 85 hp chry. with jet I put it on my boat and started it it seems to run fine but on top end has no power , throttle is opening all the way so is the jet opening impeller is good. I e mailed with this problem before and roscoe awnsered but when I went to get the topic it said there was no topic. zcarman1234@aol.com

I believe I said start with the basics.<br /><br />Remove and examine the sparkplugs.<br />Test for a strong spark on each plug.<br />Check compression on each cylinder.<br />Check for fuel delivery to the cylinders.<br /><br />Report back with the findings and then more targeted advice can be given.

on a jet outboard how do you tell if it is getting enough fuel, should the colling water still come out of the water out let, also how do you flush a jet?85 hp chry.

salmonboy. Can you post your model number so we can see exactly what motor you are talking about
