85 HP force mo. 856X7B RPM question?

I was curious as to what the RPM at idle should be for my 85HP force model (856X7B). The engine was been messed with a lot so I'm just wondering if my idle is too fast it might destroy the gears when I shift it at that RPM.

800 would be great.
1000 is typical.
1200 is a bit too high.
