85 hp Force stalling at WOT after Startron

I ran my boat for the first time of the season and ran great without stalling or anything using the gas that I had over the winter with stabil in it.

The next time out I added the Startron treatment to it with 10 gallons of gas. Now it smokes a lot while getting it started. I get it going to wot and it slowly bogs and loses idle after about 20 seconds of holding top speed. When I bring the throttle back down it saves it from stalling. Do you think the startron stirred up some gunk and is now clogging something?

Also...Last year I replaced the fuel line, filter, pump diaphram, carb rebuild, stator, CDI boxes, and new plugs. Ran fine all of last season.

Thanks!

looking back at all your posts on this motor. You still seem to have a problem with stalling at wot. Maybe the problem you had last season is still there and kinda masked itself becuase the boat sat unused for a while.

Sounds like you need to go thru the fuel system.Take the pump apart, check for a bad diaphram or check the valves.
Then the vent hose make sure that it's not blocked. The squeezie might be bad(new out of the box can be bad).Ethanol might be melting you hoses causing collapse.J

Thanks for the replies. I will go through the fuel system this weekend. Is the only valve I'm checkin behind the pump or more? If it is sticking can I free it or does it have to be replaced? Thanks

If the check valves are going bad, your bulb will get soft. Another check is to see if you can keep the engine running by slowly pumping the ball. If so, your check vavles are sticking and need to be replaced. They only cost $5 each but one requires mechanical skills to remove.
