So this has happened quite a few times but today I have had it. As I stated, its an 85 and when I loaded the boat from the ramp the motor would not go up. The TT motor makes noise but doesnt move. After alternating between pressing tilt up and down for like 20 minutes, the cylinder finally moved enough for me to pull away from the ramp (embarassing :redface
. Then I realized the transom saver wouldnt fit so I had to raise it some more. Worked fine until I went to lower it. It wouldnt go down. Not even gravity would help me. Fluid level seems fine. I checked it at the ramp. An hour later, I drove home (half-secured) and when I got here, pressed the down button and it worked
! What do I need to look at? Called a local guy who said and I quote, " They just do that sometimes". Any ideas will be greatly appreciated. P.S. Most of the problems occur going DOWN (95%). Rarely does it happed going up but it has occured 2-3 times. Thanks, Mike
