hello everyone. i just bought a bass boat with a 85 mercury 150hp o/b. i was wondering if anyone knows how to hook up a tach to this motor. i'm new to this so please bare with me. thanks
Is there a small socket for a plug on the front of the remote? If so you can get a harness that plugs into it just for a tach. If not you will have to find the wires needed. Black for ground, 12V usually taken from purple wire on switch and gray wire (tach input) coming from motor.
