85 Mercury 50hp - Been through everything...

Motor fires right up. Will idle all day. Motor is on a 16' Duratech aluminum with a 12p prop.

Carbs have been cleaned and looked good. Spark will jump a half inch on a tester. 150lbs of compression. Fuel is new New and mixed 50:1.

Motor wont plane the boat out. I would imagine I have plenty of power to push thing thing. Im going to put new plugs in it tomorrow but im lost on what to do next. I would like to check timing but I cant find specs or any info on how to adjust it.

Any ideas where to find a service manual for this online?

Possible the exhaust tuner is plugged.------2 bottom seals on crankshaft bad ?--------Have you tried opening low speed jet 1/8 turn to see if it will accelerate ?

Havent adjusted anything. Would the low speed jet change top end power?

Is it possible to look at the exhaust tuner without pulling the motor apart?

If low speed jet is set too lean it will idle nice , but stall on acceleration.----Does pushing choke switch help get it up to speed ?
