well iv got an 85 Yamaha 200, 2 of them...and one is making a ticking or a knocking noise which is running rough, i did thermostats, water pumps and plugs. compression is good and all plugs fire. i noticed that if your looking at the carbs, the plug on the top right had more of a red color to it. i have not checked the timing or anything else. i was going to pull the carbs off and check that and also figure out how i can check the timing if anyone has an idea of what the specs and procedure is...if I'm getting good compression would that mean the inside is OK?
