Hi,
I'm no where near my outboard just now and i would really appreciate some advice on shaft length,, how do you measure it and does anyone know what shaft length my model is.

Not from the #s The way to do it is post a pic of the motor.Or a tape from the center of the transom to the bottom of the V

They used both motors on that boat.The bowrider Capri I think used the 20"
The Capri Cuddy cabin.I think used the long shaft.
I assembled a lot of these in the 80's, unfortunatly my memory isin't the best.J

brilliant responses thank you to all, and a great drawing roscoe.

In terms of old fuel lines and ethanol - I replaced the whole lot from the tank connection through to a new fuel filter, and re-set the carbs (also used a carb cleaner). Plus i also used fuel additive (seafoam)to clean up the fuel cr-p in the tank, replaced the spark plugs, used premium grade fuel, re-set the idle rpm and she now runs like a dream!!!

I just need some more power..... so if anyone is looking to sell a running 120/125hp - I'm interested.
