Hi there
i took my Bayliner Capri out this weekend and had some problems with it stalling/ losing power after a minute or so at higher speed. at take off or halfway thru accelaration it was ok. but when i hit the throttle to go faster it would go a bit and then start losing power, i was able to back out the throttle coast for another minute, then hit full throttle again and it would go and it was just repeating all over again. then it mysteriously ran great the rest of the afternoon until i was ready to get back to shore it started to stall again at higher speeds and i had to pull throttle back and accelarate all the way in to the dock, i was thinking a fuel filter, at least if it was a car thats what i would bet on i dont know much about these outboards so any help or suggestions of what it may be would help.. thank you in advance. and excuse the punctuating i was in a hurry..

Sounds like a fuel prob. Check all fuel lines from tank to motor. Looking for loose or broken
lines fittings or connections. Next check fuel filter located inside fuel pump and if any in line
fuel filter. Diaphragm in fuel pump may be bad. Check floats in carbs for prop. Adjustment. After pumping primmer does it stay firm or go flat when running or not running. You should do a compression test to make sure you have good comp. on all cylinders. Fuel pump will not be able to deliver proper amount of fuel to motor if comp. is to low.
