Your on the right track with the WD keep spraying and give it time to work. I have same motor and mine was the same way works fine now not something we use all the time so we don,t think about but I check as reg maintance, No fun doing it on the water.Hard to get home with engine in the air.
does anyone know how to work the manual hydraulic release screw? It does not want to go either way. Put wd40 on it. Shall I try really hard to make it turn, like a vise grip on the screw driver?
