Final adjustment advice needed. Rebuilt and started, now idles smooth but smoking heavy. Only parts not replace were the mixture needles and the floats which appear fine. Prior to rebuilds, the boat sat 15 years as is out from the last use. Before rebuilding, fresh fuel and running/idling rough but did not smoke like it is now. Has WMK-39 carbs.

What's next for proper idle-lean/rich settings ? My Seloc manual has some info but finding its broad ranged and I need specifics.

Thanks for any help.

My mechanic(technician) set mine this way: Turn adj. screw in to a light seat. Back adj. screw back out 1 turn plus 1/2 turn, then about "5 minutes on the clock" more. He set a slightly fast idle on muffs, mine idles good in the water after short warm-up. No tach. Hole shot is good. You may need to adjust while on the water if hole shot is not what you want. Good Luck.
