My warning buzzer seems to be going off even if the boat is on the trailer and cold. it did this when I first put the key in this season and shut off after I switched the key on and off a few times and again today when I was about to put the boat in the water... put the key in and turned it one click and the buzzer was going off... jiggled the key a bit and it shut off. After I put the boat in and ran it around the lake I was coming back down the canal to our dock and after about 3 min of idle speed the buzzer again was going off. The motor seems to be pumping a good amount of water and everything seems ok as far as I Can tell... any idea what may cause it to go off before the motor is even started? I am wondering if on my way up the canal it was to hot or the buzzer was going hay wire again... thanks for the help
I may go to the dealer and see about getting a new thermostat tomorrow... how hard are they to replace? I do not think it has ever been done. May also see about getting a new impeller... will I have to drain the new oil I put in the lower end to change the impeller?
This is the first year I have owned this boat and everything seems to run well but I know the person that owned it before me pretty much just put gas in the boat and stabil for the winterfor the 2 years he owned it but it seems to run very well... hardly had to bump the key and it fired right up and ran great other than that stupid buzzer... anything else I should know about these 1986 v4's?
