i have recently gotten a 1986 sea sprite 175 with a 86 force 125 o/b (1258f6b)for 150 bucks from a friend of a friend. its my first boat ever so im excited. its in rough shape but i think its worth it. anyway he lost the key to the ignition so i went and bought a new one, but i pulled a bonehead move and didnt label the wires. the ignition switch that came off was a 6 pin push to choke and the one a bought is a 5 pin. can i get away with using this one. its not labeld like the old switch or like my seloc manual shows (m, b, c, s, i, m) the one i bought is labeled batt, grd, acc, sol, and mag. i got an idea of how the wires would go to it but not sure what i would do with the sixth wire (purple) im assuming red would go to battery but after that im lost. also im assuming i can but the green wire(choke) on a different switch alltogether. any help would be appreciated.
also i was dropping the lower unit to install a new water pump impeller and a black boot with a silver collar fell out and im not really sure where it went i think it went on the driveshaft but not sure. and i broke two bolts on the water pump housing.. anybody know the part number for the complete waterpump kit thanks

You Really need a six pin switch , because to stop the engine, the white wire goes to one M terminal and the blue wire goes to the other M terminal. See, when the switch is in run position, the M terminals are not connected with each other but when the switch is off, the two M terminals are connected. White wire comes from the boxes and blue wire goes to ground. This grounds out the electronic boxes and stops them from firing. Red is battery, Yellow is start (or sol), Green is choke, Orange is overheat alarm, purple is tach. purple and orange do not attach to switch. Acc (or I Terminal) is powered only when switch is on. you take a power for the tach, and a power for the overheat indicator off this terminal. Orange goes to the other side of the overheat terminal (or Temp gauge).
If the Mag terminal on the five pin switch goes to ground in stop position, then you could use this switch.. Hook up white to mag and blue to grd. The black wire in the harness does not need to be hooked up but you can use it as a separate ground for instruments.

The silver collar goes on top of the drive shaft with the groove facing up. The rubber boot goes on top of it. the beveled edge of the boot goes up --against the crankshaft.
