Can anyone tell me how much this motor weighs? It has tilt and trim. Thank for any help on this. Harley

BJHC100,

My 1984 book says a 125 HP weighs 300lbs with Tilt and Trim.

Thanks, Which book do you have? Mine Clymer doesn't have a spec page. Sound like I need to upgrade my book. Harley

Re: '86 Force 125 Weight

Harley,

I have one of the original books that came with the boat.
It lists mosts of the weights.
Glad I could help.
Wonder if it is illegal to scan it in a pc and upload it to our Force brothers?

if you are trying to pull or lift the engine then you can shed a lot of weight beforehand. Drop the gearcase off and take the chance to replace impeller. Starter is another bit of heavy that is easy to pull.

Re: '86 Force 125 Weight

Thanks a lot guys, Your help is appreciated. A few years ago I R&Red the engine to replace the water rotted plywood in the transom. It went well as I used one of those portable car engine lifts you can rent. For this question I am thinking about repowering the boat with a four strike type motor and wondering about the additional weight of the four stroke. it looks like another 100 lbs for so for a 90 or 100 HP four stroke.
