86 Merc trim and tilt

I rebuilt all the trim cylinders last year but the thing still leaks down over time. I can only assume now that it has something to do with the pump since everything else has been rebuilt. Is there something that would cause this inside the pump and is it repairable with third –party components?

Probably can fix by replacing the orings in the pump valves. Kind of hard to tell without knowing what model you have. You may be able to get an oring kit from Mercury.

It's a Type B system with the square motor so parts are not avalible for repair. I was hoping that it was a simple repair that I could find parts and fix myself.
