86 mercury outboard

I have an 86 mercury, I am the thrid owner and have had it for two years now. When I ran my motor in my tank I noticed that there was no water coming out the "pee hole". So I think the inpellers shot? Iam not much of the mechanic so I will have to take it somewhere, I wanted to know if this in fact sounds like an inpeller problem or can it be something else. Also since it will be in the shop what else can I have them look over to see if everthing looks good?

That's a sure sign the impeller needs replacement.

I've had mud dobbers build nest in the hole. Try taking one end off and blowing it out.

I blew it out and now its working, thanks for the tip. I will have to keep a good eye on it. Hopfully it was just stuck with some mud or debrie.
