My Reinell 192 floor is definitely rotted out in places and I'd like to replace it. I had read about a book called runaround renovation here and was wondering if this book is applicable for my boat. The entire floor needs replacement.

I'm also looking to paint the boat using interlux, how can I tell if it's a gelcoat surface?

Thanks!
Brian

Is the boat Fiberglass,..???...

Is the boat Colored,..???....

Then it's Gelcoated..........

BTW,.... Though I've never Seen the book,.....
I believe,...It's Runabout Restoration,.........As in a Runabout Boat......

would try and rub out the gelcoat if its not scratched/worn through anywhere. its way tougher than paint and if buffed and waxed will have just the shine and not need touching up

The book is called runabout renovation by Jim Anderson, I've seen it in a couple of posts here in reference to floor replacement.

I think I've buffed all that I can, it's too oxidized and I can't seem to get it looking like I want.
