It's a bearing housing and no longer available (NLA) -
What are my options? i've looked at every online dealer I could find.

I need to replace mine because the old bearing spun in this housing and it won't grip the new bearing securely or squarely.
i don't know if it can be sleeved - i tried fitting a new bearing into the housing and it barely grabs - I'm worried it will get spun as well

Has anyone tried having a machine shop fit a tolerance ring like this: ?

how did it turn out ? http://www.usatolerancerings.com/index.php?page=more-information

Looks like the jack-shaft bearing retainer on a late 90s 4.3 engine.

Thanks guys - took it to a machine shop to see if they could clean up the bore -
they recommended a replacement - made by them for 350$. :grumpy: I asked them to clean up the shoulder at the bottom of the bore - 40$ ..

so we'll see if that works while I try to find this part sitting on a dealer shelf somewhere :noidea:
