87 140hp weak spark at idle

motor runs very poor at idle,only fires half the time. at high speeds it runs great...i ran a bunch of test like the book said to do..everything checks out.had anyone ever ran into this..thanks dan

You sure it's a spark problem and not a fuel problem? What tests have you done?

the first thing i did was clean the carbs..all plugs are very wet.then checked fuel presure..i checked for spark"not running" on a board,it looked good when turning over with just the starter..but if i pull a plug let it run at idle the plug will only fire about half the time and would come and go.i did this with every plug and would come up with the same"spark would not be regular"so i ran test on stator,trigger"but i am not very good at this"..
